Methodology
Simple inputs. Visible assumptions.
The tools use deterministic quantity formulas. They make rounding rules and estimate boundaries clear instead of implying precision that is not there.
Units and conversions
Calculations normalise input measurements to metric base units. When imperial input is selected, feet, inches and square feet are converted before calculation; results show both common unit forms where helpful.
Rounding
Areas and volumes retain useful decimal precision. Items, rolls, tins, bags and packs always round up to a whole purchasable quantity. The audit states when a chosen pack size changes the total.
Material factors
Illustrative factors such as brick coverage, density, grout and adhesive use a visible planning value. They are not a substitute for a product data sheet. Every calculator shows its formula version, review date and internal formula source location. Product inputs remain visible visitor-entered planning values rather than invented retailer data.
