Connected project workspace

Tile a bathroom from the surfaces you measure.

Add each wall, floor or rectangular surface once. The workspace totals only the included areas, removes only the deductions you enter, then keeps tiles, adhesive and grout as distinct requirements.

01 Project details and inputs
Project details
Tiled surfaces

Add each wall, floor or custom rectangular surface you plan to tile. Only use a deduction when you have measured an area you will not tile.

Surface1
Shared tile inputs

Tile size and allowance are shared across the project. Enter pack coverage only when you have it from the specific product.

Tile adhesive inputs

Enter the coverage rate and pack size for the adhesive you have selected. This workspace does not choose a product or application method.

Grout inputs

Joint geometry and density remain separate, explicit inputs because they affect grout quantity.

Notes optional · local only

What does this project calculate?

A traceable material plan.

It adds included surface areas, subtracts the explicit exclusions on each surface and passes the shared net tiled area to the existing tile, tile adhesive and grout formulas. Each material retains its own allowance, product inputs and pack rounding.

What measurements do I need?

Use the measurements you can check.

Have the length and width or height of every wall, floor or rectangular surface you plan to tile. Add a door, window, bath panel or other exclusion only after measuring its area. Keep actual tile size, product coverage, joint dimensions and pack information ready.

What will the result contain?

A supplier-neutral local list.

A browser-local list shows gross area, deductions, net tiled area, tile coverage and units, adhesive kg, grout kg, visible allowances, formula versions and pack rounding only where you supplied a real pack value.

Bathroom tile planning questions

Simple answers before you begin.

What do I need to measure before tiling a bathroom?

Measure each wall, floor or rectangular surface you intend to tile. Record only the door, window, bath panel or other area you have chosen to leave untiled.

How is bathroom tile quantity calculated?

The workspace totals included surface areas, subtracts the deductions you entered, applies your tile allowance and converts the required coverage into whole tiles. It rounds to packs only if you enter a real pack coverage.

Should I allow extra tiles for waste?

Use the visible tile allowance for cuts or breakage and review it for the particular layout. The workspace does not imply a percentage that you have not selected.

Does this estimate grout and adhesive too?

Yes. The shared net tiled area feeds the grout and adhesive calculations, while their product coverage, joint geometry, density, allowance and pack-size values remain separate inputs.

Compatible calculator sources

Each material retains its source.

The connected workspace reuses deterministic calculation patterns from the tools below. It does not alter their canonical URLs or replace a standalone calculation when you need to inspect it in detail.
